About me
Hi, I'm Christian Laesser — a freelance data visualization & UX designer based in Bregenz, Austria. For over 15 years I've helped large organisations, NGOs, and public institutions turn complex data into tools that support real decisions. My clients include WHO, Deutsche Bahn, Mozilla Foundation, and ACLED.

I work at the intersection of data integrity and user needs — pushing back when a visualization misleads, and advocating for the people who ultimately have to act on what they see.
Increasingly, that means helping organisations make AI outputs legible — to the stakeholders, boards, and decision-makers who need to understand and trust them.
Services
I help organizations design clear, human-centered digital tools that make complex data accessible — from interactive dashboards to exploratory prototypes.
Data Visualization
I turn complex data into clear visual narratives and interactive tools.
Whether for reporting, research, or internal strategy, I design visualizations that support insight and decision-making.
Interface & UX Design
I create intuitive tools that help users navigate and understand complex information.
From policy platforms to public dashboards, I design interfaces that enable clarity, trust, and engagement across diverse audiences.
AI Transparency Design
I design interfaces and documentation that make AI outputs legible to the people who need to act on — or answer for — them.
This bridges the gap between data science teams and decision-makers, building the trust that responsible AI deployment requires.
